Summer Camps
The NOW
volleyball camp has become a summer tradition in the
tri-cities area. Held at Riverside Secondary
School, it features top quality coaching and a lot of
fun. See
Registration Form.
Reimbursement of Expenses for Focus Teams
Anybody
wanting reimbursement of eligible expenses from the club
can download and complete a requisition form
Cheque Requisition and
send it by mail to the club treasurer, Brad Currie. Please consult with your team
manager before submitting a requisition.
Children's Fitness Tax Credit
The
Government of Canada offers a non-refundable tax
credit on eligible amounts of up to $500 paid by parents
to register a child in an eligible program of physical
activity. Details can be found at
Tax Credit.
Coaches
The club
is built around coaching. With 21 teams last year
and increasing demand this year there is always a need
for additional coaches or assistant coaches. If
you are interested in coaching in any capacity we would
be very interested in hearing from you. Please
contact Greg Russell at
Greg_Russell@telus.net.
Volleyball BC
Volleyball
BC has a good web site and is a great resource for all
aspects of volleyball in British Columbia. For any
questions or information that you can't find on our site
check with
Volleyball BC. In
particular, they publish a useful handbook.

Other
Volleyball Opportunities
Beyond the
indoor club season there are numerous opportunities
to learn and enjoy volleyball.
Volleyball
BC offers many opportunities for youth to improve on and
develop their skills. In addition to Volleyball
BC, there are numerous other camps run by others
(particularly during the summer months) as well as drop
in Volleyball times at Harry Jerome.
For the
more competitive youth, Baden Cup and BC Summer Games
offer opportunities to learn and play at an advanced
level. |
